Below the FAQs for our filters. Please note that these are general questions regarding all our products and they do not give any information on the individual filters. For the FAQs for specific filters please check the relevant page for that effect.
Important: Before contacting us please make sure you read the instructions as well as our FAQs as most of the questions will be answered in there. Also, we can only deal with queries regarding our products, for problems with the Adobe Flash product please contact the Adobe support: www.adobe.com/support
Our transition filters have a set length ? this is the length you apply to the filter via the inspector or ActionScript.
After the effect is finished the component stays on the stage and the finishing image is showing (the 'end MovieClip'). If you want to remove the component insert a empty keyframe or remove it per ActioScript. Examples for this can be found in the example files, which come with all filters.
The behaviour of our filters with Flex is not tested and therefore we cannot guarantee any desired results and we cannot give any support on this.
We are however working on Flex support – please register for our newsletter to find out about latest updates as soon as possible.
The example files, which are included in the filters, contain an example how to build a slide show either on Timeline or with ActionScript.
We have not integrated any typical slide show component (xml connection, preloader, etc). The reason for that is that we want to keep the filters as simple to use as possible so everyone can easily integrate them in existing projects.
Since you can use all filters with ActionScript there are limitless possibilities to create any slide show containing the flash-filter.net effect.
To make is as easy as possible for time line users to set the parameters we have developed an innovative component inspector for all our filters.
To find the inspector click on the filter which you have just dragged on the stage. Then select "Window" and "component inspector".
This panel now gives you the possibility to set all parameters for the filter.
Some of the files copied on your system when installing the mxp file with the Extension Manager are "shared", which means that they are used by more than one filter.
Simply confirm the message to overwrite that file.
There is a known bug in the MAC version of the Macromedia Extention Manager. You can only install one filter. Simply restart the Extention Manager and install the next filter. We are in contact with Adobe to fix this issue.
All filters are download-only products. We do not ship any boxes.
